2 Sumter residents killed in 2-vehicle crash in Clarendon County; 1 driver was traveling south in northbound lane
CLARENDON COUNTY — 2 Sumter County residents were killed during a two-vehicle wreck at two a.m. March three on S.C. 521 under a mile north of Alcolu.Clarendon County medical examiner Jacqueline Blackwell aforementioned Stephanie prophetess Evans, 61, and Tyrone Elvis Aron Presley, 51, are deceased. The wreck occurred close to the intersection of Zakia Lane and S.C. 521, less than seven miles from Evans’ home. “The families are notified and also the South geographic area main road Patrol is functioning the case,” Blackwell added. Master Trooper Brian Lee with the SCHP said Presley was driving a 1997 Ford Ranger pickup north on S.C. 521 and Evans was driving a 2005 Pontiac American state auto south within the north lanes of S.C. 521. “The two vehicles collided,” Lee aforementioned. “Both drivers of the 2 vehicles are deceased.” Lee said the collision remains underneath investigation by the South geographic area main road Patrol.
