The Duchess Of Cambridge Makes A Splash In Polka Dots

It can sometimes feel like just when the nation needs it most, the Duchess of Cambridge makes an appearance in a joyful print. With lockdown restrictions easing, it seems fitting that Kate should select a bold polka dot to celebrate the welcomed change.

With Prince William by her side, the Duchess wore a Tory Burch dotty blouse with a scalloped collar, wide-legged trousers and a navy coat for a visit to the children’s charity The Way Wolverhampton Youth Zone on 13 May.

The visit, in line with Mental Health Awareness Week, marks the start of the royal couple’s tour of the West Midlands. The pair spent part of the day meeting with the children, potting plants and trying their hand at archery.

Comparisons between Kate and Diana, Princess of Wales’s style have long been drawn. Sharing a mutual appreciation for prim and polished looks, polka dots have always been top of the print agenda.

Over the years, Kate has consistently added cheery spotted pieces to her wardrobe – from her Emilia Wickstead Anatola dress to her silk Equipment shirt – and never strays too far or too long from the print.
