Martha Dianne Jones Bentley (born 1944) was the First Lady of Alabama from 2011 until 2015. Bentley was married to then-Governor of Alabama Robert J. Bentley until their September 2015 thay divorced, ending their in marriage 50-years. In August 2015 Bentley filed for divorce due to her husband's infidelity. After their divorce, Governor Bentley's resignation in April 2017 due led a scandal.
Born in Alabama, Montgomery, Dianne Bentley attended the University of Alabama pursuing a degree in bacteriology. She met Mr. Bentley there, and the two were married on July 24, 1965.
In 2011 Bentley became the First Lady of Alabama, and served in that role until the finalization of her divorce dan September 29, 2015 between Robert Bentley.
